The Federation of Egyptian Banks as a free professional federation subjects to the provisions of Law No. 88 of 2003 Promulgating the Law of the Central Bank and the banking system and cash seeks to serve the banking sector by working to raise the level of the banking profession in Egypt, modernize, and care of banking culture, and consolidate the concepts and customs of the sound banking systems and follow unified systems and procedures and the development of codes of professional ethics and consultation on common issues to ensure free competition among banks in the climate of the market economy.
The Federation is keen to support the scientific and cultural ties and social relations between banks operating in Egypt, as well as banking and financial institutions abroad, and closer cooperation between the federation and the monetary authority to ensure coordination between monetary and banking policies for the benefit of the national economy.
The Federation acts as a free and professional platform in accordance with recognized international standards to take account of the banking profession rule, according to the international law in order to reach sophisticated professional banking level.
The development of this web site on the web (Internet), including data that is constantly updated acts as portal and a means to inform the local and international banking community with the Federation of Egyptian Banks and its various activities and dissemination of banking culture in the Egyptian society, as a channel of communication with all parties with which the Federation reflects the extent of development achieved by the banking community in Egypt.
